How to Build a Website with AI in HighLevel in Under an Hour (AI Studio vs Classic Builder)

HighLevel has two ways to build a website: AI Studio, where you give a prompt, a screenshot or a reference URL and the AI builds the full structure, and the Classic Builder, where you drag and drop every element with total control. I use AI Studio for speed and pass the design to the Classic Builder to refine. That's how I built a client's full site in under an hour, and why I cancelled Lovable.
The Classic Builder: element-by-element control
Go to Sites → Websites and start from scratch or a template. If you've used Elementor or WP Bakery on WordPress, it feels familiar. Every part of your site is a section, sections hold rows of one or more columns, and columns hold elements: text, images, buttons, video, galleries, forms, calendars. Forms and calendars you drop in are already wired to your CRM. You get separate desktop and mobile versions, custom domains with SSL, pop-ups, A/B testing, embeds and custom code.
AI Studio: vibe coding with a prompt
Describe what you want, upload a reference image, or paste a URL as a design reference, and the AI builds the structure. You can edit live by telling the prompt what to change. In the video I open a kefir brand's site built entirely with prompts: I gave it a layout, then added images one ingredient at a time. Live in under an hour.
I was paying $100 a month for Lovable for this. Cancelled it when AI Studio shipped inside the same subscription.
My recommended flow
- Fast design in AI Studio with a clear prompt.
- Screenshot the result.
- Rebuild in the Classic Builder using "Build with AI" from that screenshot.
- Refine elements, connect forms and calendars to the CRM, publish.
Landing page vs website
A landing page has one goal. A website has a menu that can distract and multiple pages to send people to. AI Studio gives you one full page per prompt; Websites gives you multi-page structure. Use each for what it's built for.

Do I need to code?
No. AI Studio works in plain language and the Classic Builder is visual.
Can I upload images from a URL?
Yes, a recent addition. Paste the image URL and it imports straight to your media storage.
Does AI Studio connect to the CRM?
You can ask it to, and it works, but it's not always perfect yet. For CRM-connected forms I still prefer the Classic Builder.
