Set up your Kajabi Site Settings properly
Before you can start creating captivating content and engaging with your audience, it's crucial to set up your site settings properly. Let's dive into the details of how to customize your site branding settings and make your site truly yours.
Setting up your Site Details:
Before building your site, it's essential to configure your site settings to reflect your brand identity and vision. Here's how you can do it:
1. How to Customize Site Brand Settings: Your site branding settings are the foundation of your online presence. They allow you to customize your logo, colors, instructor information, and page scripts. By completing these settings first, you'll streamline the customization process for the rest of your Kajabi platform.
- To view and update your branding settings, Open the Settings tab from your Dashboard. Click Site Details:
Branding:
- Set your default Site Logo and Favicon, which will be used across all new templates on your site. Customizing these elements ensures consistent branding throughout your platform.
Colors:
- Establish your default color palette, which will be used in the color pickers of all editors on your site. Creating a custom color palette allows you to maintain brand consistency and enhance the visual appeal of your content.
Instructor:
- Add your instructor's image, name, title, and bio. This information will be displayed for courses with Premier, Prosper, or Creative themes installed, helping to establish credibility and connect with your audience.
Page Scripts:
- Customize the text added to the <head> section of every page on your site. This includes products, lessons, landing pages, website pages, and static pages. Use this feature to add custom javascript or tracking codes to your site.

Hide your Site to Prepare for Launch or Create a "Coming Soon" Homepage
If you're still in the process of building your website and aren't ready for it to be publicly accessible, you can "unpublish" or hide your site until it's complete. To inform your users that your site is still under construction, you can display a temporary "Coming Soon!" message using a Landing Page.
Let's create a "Coming Soon" homepage to signal to your audience that your new website is on its way and provide them with the opportunity to opt-in.
As you work on setting up your site, it's crucial to consider the legal pages you need to incorporate. I recommend consulting with a legal advisor or using resources like TermsFeed.com to ensure your site's legal compliance.
- Create a new landing page: Generate a Coming Soon Landing Page with Kajabi Pages.
- Select the Website tab from your Dashboard. Open Pages.
- Click the Landing tab. Select add + New Landing Page:
- Customize your new landing page: Tailor the Streamlined Coming Soon Page template to your preferences by uploading a background image, crafting a unique message with the Text Block, and attaching a Form to grow your email list as you prepare to launch your site.

Now that you've built your homepage, it's essential to preview it and ensure everything looks perfect before making it live. Preview your pages to get a feel for how they'll appear to your site visitors. For an authentic experience, log out of your admin account and test your page without the preview link and banner. Here's how you can do it:
- From the pages dashboard: Open the Website tab from the Dashboard. Click Pages. Navigate to the side of your Page title and click the "eye" icon to preview:
Set the landing page as your homepage:
Configure your new landing page as your homepage through the Site Details settings. When visitors navigate to your site, they'll see your captivating Coming Soon page, signaling that exciting developments are underway. To set your new homepage:
- Open Settings from your Dashboard.
- Select Site Details.
- Scroll down to the Homepage section and change the selection to Show a Landing Page.
- Select your "Coming Soon!" Landing Page and click Save:
